National Centre for the Performing Arts
National Centre for the Performing Arts is one of the landmark buildings of the new "Sixteen Sights of Beijing". It is located in the center of Beijing, west of Tian 'anmen Square and west of the Great Hall of the People. It consists of the main building and the underwater promenade, underground parking lot, artificial lake and green space on the north and south sides.
The super ellipsoid shell of steel structure of the main building of National Centre for the Performing Arts is a super space shell. The shell is a super ellipsoid with a coefficient of 2.24 obtained by accurate numerical calculation. It integrates construction, materials, equipment and other high-tech technologies in one body. The huge shell is the fusion of the building and the structure, the wall and the top surface are integrated without boundaries. The whole steel shell is composed of top ring beam and steel frame frame. The 148 trusses (102 of which are not visible, 46 trusses of which are not visible) curved steel frame are distributed radially. The steel frame is connected by connecting rod and inclined brace.A large amount of glass wool is used in the opera House. Details are as follows.
Opera House: Straw House Wrapped in Metal Mesh
The interior of the opera house is also wrapped in such metal mesh, but it does not look as if it is golden and cold. The sound is reflected back through the metal mesh, forming a "natural sound". In this way, the arc of vision and the polygon of the auditory space are formed, which achieves the perfect combination of architectural acoustics and theater aesthetics. Even in the absence of microphones, the sound on the stage can be heard by the audience from all corners of the stage.
The back wall of the audience hall is the main birthplace of echo. Enough wide-band sound absorbing materials are made on the back wall. In order to coordinate the specific structure with the decoration style of the audience hall, glass wool sound absorbing materials are used behind the purple silk cloth.
MLS Acoustic wall
The wall around the band's bandstand is the acoustic wall, namely the concave and convex shape of the wall calculated accurately according to the mathematical theory. The abbreviation term is called "MLS", which originally means "Mathematics Length Sequence ", the function of this wall is highly diffused and reflected, which enables musicians to hear each other well, so that the sound is evenly and gently reflected and diffused to ensure that the audience sitting at each position can hear the same high-quality sound. The concave-convex wall is constructed with double-layer wooden boards (12mm>2 thick) to make concave-convex shape, and there is dense glass wool inside the protruding part.
